Following a line of underrated (but critically acclaimed) acts like The Go-Betweens and Crowded House is The Furious Seasons. Having toiled at their craft for decades in bands such as Pop Art and Smart Brown Handbag, Jeff and David Steinhart offer up some very smart, highbrow melodic pop beginning with the delectable tune “The Upside” and the equally tender “Put It Down”.

Well first I must admit that I was a bit sceptical about this game to begin with. Sure it looked good but still I was unsure, but for whatever reason I bought it. First impression was amazing, the first act is probably the most intense scene in the whole game, but not in a bad way. You get the general picture of what has happened and before you know it your are forced into an adrenaline pumping car chase. The game does a good job at making you feel like you are over powerful, which (of course) is not so true.

You feel invincible with all the tentacles sticking out of your back but really if you are not careful (and not playing on easy difficulty) you will fins yourself gunned down before you know it. All in all it's a great game, nice graphics and with a depth rarely seen in these types of games. The story is intriguing and the acting superb. However, there are some frustrating moments with a few (and rare) glitches and the fact that there seem to be hardly anyone walking the streets of New York, although I suppose you could argue that this is because it's night throughout the game.

This is still a game that I think most people would enjoy as long as they like FPS games, but really I think this game can offer a lot to just about anyone.

TriviaNatalie Dormer said she was upset after critics deemed her movie In Darkness, which she co-wrote and produced, to have a 'gratuitous' sex scene. 'I was mortified that it had been interpreted in a gratuitous way. It was like a slap in the face,' the actress said. Dormer defended the scene in an interview with The Guardian in July 2019. 'There has to be sexuality in the power play of a thriller.

In this film, the sex scene, which for me was a love-making scene, is a metaphor for the way my character connects with the part played by Ed Skrein. If the lead characters do not have a clear connection, then it doesn't work. And on screen it has to be a physical connection between two broken people. That was my intention.'

The Darkness lacks scares, thrills and any plot at all. Veterans Kevin Bacon and Radha Mitchell tried their best with the script, but it wasn't enough to save the film. I went in with low. The game was released in 2007 in North America and Europe and it is based on The Darkness comic book series published by Top Cow Productions.
